The film distribution company Uthraa Productions has inaugurated its brand-new office in Chennai in a grand manner!
Continuously delivering several quality films to Tamil cinema, Uthraa Productions, founded by Mr. C. Hari Uthraa, has now opened its new office at Velayutham Colony, Vadapalani, Chennai.
Independent filmmakers, who create unique and diverse stories through short and small-budget films, often face major challenges in getting theatrical releases and distribution in regions such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. Uthraa Productions has been a guiding force for such films, ensuring their successful theatrical releases and distribution.
In 2024 and 2025, under the leadership of C. Hari Uthraa, the company released Tamil films like Gentle Women, Kevi, Thookku Durai, Kuttram Puthidhu, as well as Malayalam films including Aaro starring Jijo George, Ranjith Cinema featuring Asif Ali, and Anbodu Kanmani, Sri Lankan Sundari, among others, in Tamil Nadu theatres.
The company is also actively working on upcoming releases such as Maria and Yellow. Between 2023 and 2025 alone, Uthraa Productions has released over 45 films in theatres, helping new producers earn profits. Beyond theatrical distribution, the company also facilitates sales to OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime, AHA, Tentkotta, Sun NXT, and manages FMS, Hindi, other language, and satellite rights, ensuring profitability for producers.
To make it easier for new producers to approach them, the company’s office has been magnificently renovated. The grand office opening ceremony was held with the blessings and presence of celebrities and dignitaries.
